Biografía

Dead Confederate originalmente surgió en la escena musical de Atenas en 2006 con una muestra local de unos pocos. La banda había estado juntos en Augusta, Georgia como "Redbelly" desde la escuela secundaria. El 22 de enero de 2008, la banda lanzó un EP homónimo en El Artista Organización sello discográfico. El presente comunicado de , junto con una aparición en el South by Southwest festival de música en Austin, Texas, les dio algo de exposición nacional.
El 16 de septiembre de 2008, la banda lanzó su primer LP, Wrecking Ball en la etiqueta de registro de asistencia técnica. Después de que el álbum, la banda inició una gira nacional, con un concierto gratuito en el Club 40 vatios en su ciudad natal en Atenas . El 10 de octubre, la banda hizo su primera aparición en televisión a nivel nacional en Late Night con Conan O'Brien .
Su primer single, "El Rata", debutó y alcanzó el puesto # 39 en la EE.UU. Modern Rock chart en febrero de 2009.
