Albert Hammond ( 18 de mayo de 1944 es un cantante, compositor y productor musical inglés. Hammond es uno de los compositores más exitosos que produjo Inglaterra en los años 1960s y 1970s, y ha vivido una larga y exitosa carrera como intérprete debido a su popular producción en tres continentes, en dos idiomas y a lo largo de cuatro décadas.
Hammond también escribio algunas canciones para otros interpretes, con su colaborador frecuente, Mike Hazlewood. Estos incluyeron "Little Arrows" para Leapy Lee, "Make me an Island" (1969), que Hammond regrabaría en 1979 en una versión española, y "You are such a good looking woamn" (1970 para Joe Dolan, "Give me that thing" para los Pipkins en 1970 (un "cover" del album "The Freddie and the Dreamers - Oliver in the Overworld"; "Good morning freedom" para Blue Mink, "Freedom come, freedom go" para The Fortunes en 1971 y "The air that I breathe" que fue todo un éxito para The Hollies en 1974.[2] In 1971 Hammond cantó en el cuarto álbum de Michael Chapman, titulado "Wrecked again", y trabajó brevemente con The Magic Lanterns en grabaciones suyas y de Mike Hazlewood.
