La canción que cierra "Station to Station" es la que engalana este post. "Wild Is the Wind" (Dimitri Tiompkin-Ned Washington) fue compuesta especialmente para el film homónimo (1956) e interpretada por Johnny Mathis. Diez años después fue recuperada por Nina Simone, quién consiguió uno de sus mayores éxitos con esta adaptación. En 1976 David Bowie publicó su versión definitiva. Sin disfraces ni poses, David optó por interpretarla con las vestiduras de un crooner clásico para ofrecer una clase de buen gusto y conmover con su voz monumental, consumando así una de las mejores interpretaciones de toda su carrera.
